TRANSITION AND CONTINUITY
Each child’s social, emotional and educational needs are central to any transition.
It may be that some parents and children find transition times stressful but others will enjoy. This not only includes transition times with my setting but also from one setting to another i.e. school/preschool or nursery.
The practitioner will value, listen and support the parents in such stressful times and communicate ways in which their child may become more settled. This communication will also extend to each setting to regularly share relevant information and the child’s development and learning records ensuring the child’s needs are met and there is continuity in their learning.
