RETAINER
Parents booking my services far in advance of their child’s start date will be asked to pay a retainer representing 50% of the anticipated fees for the period before the contract commences to guarantee their place. Parents who do not wish to pay a retainer must accept that I can not hold places indefinitely and that their child’s space may be given to someone else in the meantime.

DEPOSIT
In cases where I do not have a vacancy, but expect to have a vacancy at a specified future date, it may be possible to reserve a place with a deposit, which is generally a flat rate fee. Unlike a retainer fee, payment of a deposit does not allow the place to be used, because no place actually exists at the time the deposit is paid. If I am unable to offer the place as agreed, then the deposit will be returned in full. If the parent does not wish to take up the place when it becomes available, then the deposit may be kept by myself.
