COMMUNICATION
It is very important for the parent(s) and I to communicate and keep an open dialogue regarding their child. If I have any concerns with a child I will let the parent(s) know immediately.
Parents often like to discuss any specific concerns they have when they collect their child, however, I prefer not to discuss specific issues about a child in front of themselves or others. I would prefer to have any discussions either in person at a pre-arranged time or by telephone later in the evening. If there were any serious concerns, a meeting would be arranged between the parent(s) and I, to sit down and discuss any issues face to face.
I will make observations of each child’s development and progress which only the parent/carer and I will have access to. These observations may show patterns of behaviour or development in the child and I may, from time to time make recommendations relating to these for the parents consideration.
If your child has any food allergies and requires a modified diet, you must notify me of the situation in writing. Please also provide a Doctor’s written instruction describing any foods your child is not permitted to eat. Whenever possible, an appropriate alternative should be suggested or provided.
