ADMISSIONS & COLLECTIONS

I ask that a parent or guardian drops the child off and collects them every day.  I need to meet both parents and any other carer of the child prior to their starting as I will not allow a child to be collected by a person I do not know.

I will also ask for a password in case parents are unable to collect the child for any reason.  It is also helpful (but not necessary) to provide photographs of any other person likely to collect the child from time to time (e.g. grandparents).

Parents are required to inform me if they know in advance that they will be unable to collect the child themselves and who will be collecting them in their place.  If the parents do not know in advance, I need to be told as soon as possible, either by text or by a telephone call.

If I am not notified by either parent of a change in arrangements, I will not allow the child to be taken.  Likewise, if the person collecting the child cannot tell me the password, I will not allow the child to leave.

It is also very important that parents drop off their children on time every morning as one child arriving late can make everybody late for school.  Because of this I would ask that parents inform me of any anticipated lateness or absence by 8am.  Late-comers parents will be required to deliver their child again on my return or another pre-arranged venue.

I live within 10-20 minutes walk of Kingston Primary School, Thundersley County Infant and Junior School and Robert Drake Primary School. I also live within the same distance of Thundersley Congregational Preschool and St Peters Preschool. I am happy to take and collect children to and from clubs and other pre-schools but this would need to fit with my existing arrangements.  For reasons of security I will also need to be introduced by the parent(s) to the child’s club/pre-school before I will be allowed to collect the child.

If the child is collected from club/school/pre-school by either the parents or someone else without my prior knowledge, I reserve the right to terminate the contract immediately and without notice.
